Who can use Groupy

You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. By using Groupy you agree to these terms and to our privacy policy. If you use Groupy on behalf of a team, club or other organization, you confirm you are allowed to do so.

Your account

Keep your password private and your phone number accurate, since that is how people invite you. You are responsible for what happens under your account. Tell us right away if you think someone else has used it.

What you post

Events, notes, photos and group details you add to Groupy belong to you. By posting them you allow us to store and show them to the members of the groups you posted them to, which is what the app is for. You confirm you have the right to share whatever you post, including photos of other people.

You agree not to post or do anything that:

• harasses, threatens, bullies or demeans another person, or targets someone because of who they are;
• is sexually explicit, or involves or endangers a child;
• is illegal, promotes violence, or infringes someone else's rights;
• is spam, a scam, or an attempt to collect other members' information;
• impersonates another person, group or organization;
• interferes with the app or tries to access accounts or groups you are not a member of.

Groups and admins

The person who creates a group is its first admin. Admins choose whether the group is public or private, who can invite people and who can post events, and they can remove members and delete events or the whole group. Joining a group means the other members can see your name, photo and phone number, and everything posted to that group.

A public group can be found by name inside Groupy and joined by anyone who scans its QR code or link. Only make a group public if you are happy for anyone to see its events.

Reporting and enforcement

If you see content or behavior that breaks these terms, email us at the address below with the group name and what you saw, or ask a group admin to remove the member. We review reports promptly and may remove content, remove someone from a group, or suspend or close an account, with or without notice, when we believe these terms have been broken. Group admins can remove members from their groups at any time.

Your own calendar and other apps

When you add an event to your iPhone Calendar or subscribe to a group's calendar feed, that copy lives in your Calendar app and is governed by Apple's terms. Address suggestions come from Apple Maps. Invite texts are sent from your own Messages app and carry your phone number.

Ending your account

You can leave any group or delete your account from your profile in the app, or by emailing us. Deleting your account removes your profile and personal details as described in the privacy policy. We may close accounts that break these terms or that have been inactive for a long time.

The app itself

Groupy is provided as it is, free of charge, and we will keep improving it. We don't promise it will always be available or error-free, and we can change or discontinue features. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for losses that come from using the app, including a missed event. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have as a consumer under the law where you live.

Changes

If we change these terms in a way that matters, we will post the new version here and update the date at the top. Continuing to use Groupy after a change means you accept the updated terms.
