Help centerCreate a group
Create a group
A group is a shared calendar for a set of people: your family, a team, a band or a friend group. It takes about 30 seconds.
+ → Create Group → name it → Create Group
Tap + and choose Create Group
The round + button is at the bottom right of Home, Calendar and Groups. It opens a short menu.
The + button sits at the bottom right of every main screen.
Name your group
Give it a name the members will recognize, like The Hagens, Rovers U10 or Book Club. You can add an optional description and pick a color. The color is how this group's events are marked on everyone's calendar.
Choose who can find it, who approves and who posts
Three settings decide how open the group is. The defaults suit most families, and you can change any of them later.
- Who can find this group: Private (default) can't be searched; people who open its link or QR code ask to join, and a member lets them in. Public can be found by name, and its link or QR code joins people right away, which suits teams, clubs and bands.
- Who approves requests to join: Any member (default) or Admins only. Anyone in the group can share its link either way.
- Hide the member list (Group settings, after the group exists): only admins see who's in the group; everyone else sees the admins and a member count. Good for fan groups and big clubs. Turning it on also makes posting and approving admins-only, and keeps replies to events between the poster and the admins.
- Who can post events: Everyone (default) or Admins only. When only admins post, everyone else can still suggest events, and an admin approves them onto the calendar.
Tap Create Group
Your group appears under Your groups on the Groups tab, and you're its admin. Tap it to open the group page, where you can add a group photo, change settings and invite people.

Common questions
Can I change the name or settings later?
Yes. Open the group from the Groups tab and tap Group settings to change its name, description and settings. Only admins see that button.
What does being an admin mean?
Admins can change the group's name and settings, add a group photo, remove members, approve suggested events and delete the group. Whoever creates a group is its first admin, and admins can make other members admins from the member list (the shield icon next to a name). A group always keeps at least one admin.
Can one event go to more than one group?
Yes. When you create an event you can check several groups at once, so a birthday can go to both the family and the friends group. See Add events.
How do I delete a group?
Open the group, scroll to the bottom and tap Delete Group, then tap again to confirm. This removes the group and its events for everyone and can't be undone.
