Groupy › Bands & performers
for musicians, bands, comedians & actors

Keep your fans in the loop.

Groupy gives performers one link or QR code for every show date. Fans scan it once at a gig and from then on they know where you're playing next, with the venue, the time and a reminder before you go on.

Join the iPhone beta iPhone only for now. Opens in Apple's TestFlight app.
A band's Coming up list in Groupy with rehearsals, load-in and show dates

Your fans want to come. They just don't know when.

Show dates get buried. An Instagram story disappears in a day, a post sinks under everything else in the feed, and the people who loved your last set at the bar never hear about the next one.

Groupy is a simple, public calendar of your show dates that fans opt into. You post the gig, and it lands in the calendar of everyone who follows you.

Getting started

Set up your show calendar tonight

1

Create a public group

Name it after the act, like "The Night Owls". Public groups can be found by name, and posting stays with you and your bandmates.

2

Post your dates

Add each show with the venue from Apple Maps, the set time and a note about tickets or cover. Make a weekly residency repeat.

3

Put the QR code on stage

Show it on a sign, the merch table or your last slide. Fans scan once and follow every date after that.

Groupy or a concert listing app?

Apps like Bandsintown and Songkick help fans discover concerts and buy tickets, and they're worth being on as you grow.

Groupy is for the fans who already know you: the regulars at your residency, the people who caught your open mic set, your friends and family. It works for any show, from a bar gig with no ticket link to a community theater run or a comedy night.

Groupy is good for

  • Local bands, solo musicians and DJs
  • Stand-up comedians and improv teams
  • Community theater and dance companies
  • Residencies, open mics and bar gigs

Groupy doesn't do

  • Ticket sales
  • Concert discovery for people who don't know you yet
  • Fan messaging or mailing lists
  • Android phones, for now
FAQ

Questions from performers

Do fans need to download Groupy?

Yes. Fans install Groupy on their iPhone and join from your link or QR code. Once they're in, they can subscribe in their iPhone Calendar so your dates show up there too.

Can fans see each other?

Not if you hide the member list. Then fans see only the group's admins and a member count.

Can fans post to my calendar?

Only if you let them. Set posting to admins only and the calendar holds only your dates. Fans can still suggest an event, and you choose whether to approve it.

Can I see who's coming to a show?

Yes. Fans can tap Going, Maybe or Can't go and say how many people they're bringing. You can show the headcount to everyone or keep it to yourself.

Is Groupy on Android?

Not yet. Groupy is iPhone only for now.

Does it cost anything?

Joining a group is free. Creating and managing a group will need a paid subscription for the group's admin once paid plans launch. During the beta, everything in Groupy is free, and Groupy doesn't show ads.
